ACC 4390 - Special Accounting Topics “Navigating Excellence - CPA Review Course”

Credits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0
Prerequisite(s):
  • Instructor or PPA/MSA Program Director approval.
  • Student must demonstrate they will have required hours to sit for CPA by end of semester, as well as meet other requirements of Texas CPA test examination.

A directed study is an opportunity to pursue special interests or research not treated in the regular curriculum. This course provides students with course credit for studying for the CPA exam, which covers many topics outside of the BBA Accounting curriculum at the University of Downtown, under the supervision of a professor. (Students should note, however, that this course does not qualify for the required accounting  hours to take the CPA exam, in accordance with requirements of Texas law, nor the required accounting or total 150 hours to become certified as a CPA. )
