This course focuses on theoretical foundations and research-based methods, assessments, and curricular resources for the design and implementation of effective, individualized instruction for emergent and developing literacy in the EC-8 classroom. For MAT with certification students, this course addresses the Texas State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) Standards for the Science of Teaching Reading.
