Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in Math 3317 and graduate standing; or department approval.
This course is designed to develop knowledge and mastery of the advanced tools of probability theory and mathematical statistics for quantitative risk analysis assessment. Application of these tools to problems encountered in the actuarial and financial sciences is emphasized. Knowledge of relevant calculus tools, and familiarity with terminology and contexts of insurance and financial risk management are assumed.
