SPED 4306 - Applied Methods for Learners with ExceptionalitiesCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): Teacher candidates must successfully complete PD 3 and be admitted to PD 4 for special education. Corequisite(s): Teacher candidate must be in PD 4, final semester of professional development (IV). This course provides teacher candidates with a culminating professional development experience in special education. Teacher candidates work collaboratively with families, school personnel, mentor teachers, and peers to plan, implement, and assess instruction aligned with a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). This course facilitates continuous engagement in reflective practices to evaluate, refine, and adjust one’s own teaching for the advancement of students with exceptionalities.
