Prerequisite(s): MGT/HRM 3302 This course examines how to build and sustain a civil workplace by preventing, identifying, and resolving misconduct. Students learn to recognize and differentiate overt and subtle forms of mistreatment (bias, discrimination, harassment, exclusion, microaggressions, retaliation) and to explain their consequences for targets, teams, performance, and the organization. The ability to relate to and effectively manage people is critical to organizational success, and this course equips future HR professionals to build respectful, high-functioning workplaces through experiential exercises, evidence-based tool kits, and applied case studies.
