The purpose of this course is to provide students a practical approach to both be able to understand and explain the legal requirements that govern the workplace. This course provides an overview of the various legal and regulatory issues that may affect the organization and human resource practitioners including various employment, labor, health, and occupational safety laws. Additionally, topics will focus on the legal impact of management and human resources decisions surrounding the employee lifecycle, i.e., hiring, training, appraisals, terminations, etc.
