MIS 6321 - Blockchain Security, Compliance, and Business Applications

This course addresses security challenges and best practices in blockchain applications, with particular attention to cryptographic techniques, key and custody management, smart-contract vulnerabilities, and compliance issues such as KYC/AML requirements. It examines how blockchain transforms business models and industries, such as supply chain traceability and provenance tracking, multi-party logistics coordination, counterfeit prevention mechanisms, and integration with IoT and RFID systems. Students analyze real-world case studies, assess regulatory frameworks, and devise implementation strategies that balance innovation, security, and compliance.
