SCM 6319 - International Strategic Sourcing and ProcurementCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): Admission to the MBA Program, the Graduate Certificate Program in International Business. An international review of strategic sourcing and purchasing/procurement, and the value as well as the attendant risks. Concepts and practices of international strategic sourcing are introduced. The concepts of the creation of a Strategic Sourcing strategy, the ability to decide economically where the goods should be sourced for the greatest value to the organization, and the elements from a Supply Chain point of view of the contracts necessary to establish these sources are explored real-life examples of global operations and supply chains will be examined.
