BIOL 4350 - Social BiologyCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): 8 hours of biology, ENG 1302 , PSY 1303 or SOC 1303 , and junior standing. This discussion-format course is intended to bring together ideas and students from the disciplines of biology, psychology, sociology and anthropology. Its focus is on the area of animal behavior that involves the interaction of conspecifics. Topics to be discussed include aggression, courtship, parental behavior, altruism, behavior genetics, dominance, competition and cooperation, and behavioral ecology.
