This course will introduce students to principles and practices in community health from a variety of perspectives. The emphasis of this course is on health promotion, risk reduction, and disease management in community settings. Consideration will be given to racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, political, and residential patterns of health and the impact that these have on community health.
