Programs of Study

The Marilyn Davies College of Business offers the following graduate programs:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Security Management (MSM)
  • Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAC)

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

UHD’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program is structured to help current and aspiring business leaders develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today’s fast-paced business environment. The Marilyn Davies College of Business designed this career-friendly option for working professionals who want to pursue their studies while continuing to work. It fits the needs of those who have earned an undergraduate degree in business administration and those who hold a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated area and want the flexibility, expertise, and earning power of an MBA.

All UHD MBA courses use a concentrated hybrid, eight-week format combining face-to-face or synchronous online meetings with asynchronous online instruction and interaction. Students may select a certificate sequence to earn a professional certificate or a set of electives to customize their program.  All certificate courses are built with industry input to ensure value and relevance in the marketplace.  Students in each class will meet for a single session each week and will complete many course deliverables online. This delivery method is career-friendly because it allows focus on one or two courses each term while maintaining work-life balance.

Master of Security Management (MSM)

The Master of Security Management is an innovative program developed in collaboration with enterprise and cybersecurity leaders from many industries. The goal of the program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the continuously changing security environment. The MSM is for individuals who have a goal of leadership in the security industry and can demonstrate professional competency and commitment to their organizations and the community. The MSM offers two Certificate tracks: Cybersecurity and Enterprise Security. All courses are eight weeks long and are offered in a fully online, asynchronous delivery mode. Most have optional weekly meetings for question and answer sessions.

Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAC)

The Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAC) prepares students for leadership roles in accounting by producing graduates ready to take the highest certification in the field, the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.  This student-focused education is a gateway to success for analytical decision makers.  The Marilyn Davies College of Business is nationally accredited by AACSB, the most prestigious business accrediting organization in the world.

All MPAC courses are offered conveniently in evenings for working professionals.  After completing the prerequisites, students can graduate from the program in 12 months by taking 10 courses in one year, or at their own pace on their own timeframe.
