Program Description
Graduate certificates offered in the Marilyn Davies College of Business prepare students to increase their marketability to employers through focused learning. When the graduate certificate option is pursued, students may be required to complete preliminary work to adequately prepare students to gain full benefit from the industry-defined coursework. Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate, students may transfer all credits earned into the MBA program, and the GMAT may not be required for the MBA application.
Note: A specialization is a designated set of courses that provides focused study in a specific area. Most certificate programs have a corresponding specialization comprised of a subset of the certificate’s courses. A certificate requires 15-18 credits, whereas a specialization requires only 9. Students may not earn a certificate and a specialization in the same area of study. Both are recorded on students’ transcripts; however, unlike certificates, specializations are not recognized as separate credentials.
