The UHD University Honors Program offers high-achieving, intellectually curious students an enriched educational experience. The dynamic curriculum supplemented by a variety of engaging cultural and social activities provides ample opportunity for Honors students to develop as scholars, leaders, and global citizens. Honors students work closely with dedicated faculty in a number of academic settings ranging from graduate-style seminars to independent research. In addition, the Honors Program supports student success through peer and faculty mentoring.

This program is the overarching honors program for the university, including students from all four colleges and emphasizing participation in Texas Common Core freshman and sophomore courses.  Students can be members of the Honors Program and the STEM Scholars Academy concurrently;  in addition, many Honors students participate in departmental honor societies in their individual fields.
