STAT 5301 - Statistical Foundations for Data Analytics

Crosslisted as MATH 5310 . Prerequisite(s): Accepted in the MSDA program or department approval.
The course is designed for graduate students in data analytics. It provides the statistical foundations necessary for future courses in the MSDA program.  Topics covered include, but are not limited to; probability distributions, statistical inference, hypothesis testing (one and two sample), point estimation, interval estimation, regression, analysis of variance, and elements of linear algebra and calculus as necessary.
