GEOL 5260 - Advanced Environmental Lab and Field StudiesCredits: 2 Class: 0 Lab: 2 BIOL 5260 and CHEM 5260 . Prerequisite(s): Completed baccalaureate degree in a natural science discipline that includes credit for the following (or their out of state equivalents): CHEM 1308/1108 and either BIOL 1302/1102 or GEOL 1405/1406. This is a graduate level field course. The primary goal of this course is for students to gain experience in the design, execution, analysis and communication of environmental field and laboratory studies. The first half of the semester includes weekly field trips to a variety of local ecosystems while the second half of the course is dedicated to student-designed projects.
