ART 3339 - Medieval Art

HUM 3339   Prerequisite(s): Credit in ENG 1301  and 3 hours of art history or introduction to art (ART 1301 , ART 1302 , ART 1308  or ART 1310 ).
This course surveys the art of Europe from the Early Christian era through the Romanesque and Gothic periods. Architecture, sculpture, manuscript illumination, metalwork and painting are explored in relation to their political, religious and social context.
