MATH 4301 - Advanced Numerical Methods for Science and Engineering

Prerequisite(s): MATH 3408 MATH 2403 , and MATH 3301 , or CS 3308 , or department approval. 
Advanced topics in numerical mathematics, including the numerical solution of ordinary and partial differential equations and advanced methods in numerical linear algebra. Programming projects are stressed that use the computer to solve physical and engineering problems. This course may be used to fulfill the writing application course requirement with additional prerequisites of CS 4294 , TCOM 3302  and COMM 1304 .
