Prerequisite(s): 3 hours of literature.
Ancient Literature, Magic & the Occult focuses on the influence myth and magic had on the Graeco-Roman cultures. The interrelation between ritual magic, derivative superstition, and women is a major component of this course. Emphasis will be placed on the study of witchcraft, the correlation between magic and religion, the influence of the occult on ritual, and the psychology of magic.
