HEA 3310 - Behavior, Health, and WellnessCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 This course examines critical health issues most relevant to college students, their families, and their communities, with emphases on health and wellness promotion and injury and illness prevention. Topics covered include: Theoretical bases for health and wellness outcomes and behavioral change; protecting and promoting psychological well-being and healthily coping with stress; sleep health; acute injury prevention and safety promotion; alcohol and substance use and abuse prevention; principles of proper nutrition, physical activity, and weight management; chronic disease epidemiology and prevention; and promoting environmental health.
