Prerequisite(s): Junior standing, completion of the creative arts band in the common core, or departmental approval.
This course is an introduction to the principles of arts administration and careers in arts administration, stressing general concepts and terms relating to leadership, management, organizational structure, planning, governance, programming (artistic, education, and community), financial management, fundraising, marketing, audience development, advocacy, and the overall environment of arts administration in non-profit organizations such as theaters, art galleries, music organizations, dance companies, and museums.
