ENG 1300 - Fundamentals of English: Integrated Reading & WritingCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0
Prerequisite(s): A TSIA2 score that does not meet college readiness in Reading and Writing, and co-enrollment in ENG 1301. Successful completion of ENG 1301 (with a C or better) will satisfy the TSI requirements for developmental reading and writing. For current TSIA2 College Readiness scores, please see https://www.uhd.edu/testing/Pages/testing-tsia.aspx Corequisite(s): Students who are TSI obligated for reading and writing are concurrently enrolled in an identified companion course in the core curriculum and in the developmental support course, ENG 1300. Successful completion of the companion course (with a C or better) will satisfy the TSI requirements for developmental reading and writing.
The Integrated Reading and Writing (IRW) course fulfills TSI requirements for reading and/or writing. This course refines student reading and writing skills in inventing, drafting, revising, and editing multi-paragraph papers.
