DATA 3402 - Data Collection, Transformation and Curation

Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or better in CS 2311  and DATA 3401 .
This course provides the principles of data curation over the entire data pipeline. Specifically, the collection of data of different forms from a variety of sources, the transformation and wrangling of acquired data into forms amenable for analysis, and the preparation of data for a variety of statistical methods and models. Additionally, students will learn how to ensure the safety and consistency of data as it passes through all stages of the process.
