Prerequisite(s): Declared BAAS-AA-APAL major
This course explores the impact of city, county, state and federal agencies on administrative law and government regulation. Topics include an overview of the organizational and legal structure of public agencies, administrative processes, administrative power, and administrative law. Creation and execution of contracts within the public sector and resulting applicable legal obligations are examined. Strategies to address situations where federal regulation is counter to local regulations are included.
