PHIL 3302 - Philosophy of ScienceCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): 3 hours of Philosophy or junior standing, or instructor consent. Examines the nature of scientific knowledge and practice in both the natural and social sciences, with specific attention to the logic of scientific discovery and the nature of observation and theory. Also investigates the dimensions and meaning of objectivity and the significance of value assumptions, practical politics, and economic concerns in scientific investigation.
