PSY 3319 - Cognitive PsychologyCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): PSY 1303 , 3 additional hours in psychology and junior standing. A survey of theory and research associated with cognitive psychology, as well as its relevance to everyday situations. Important cognitive processes will be discussed, such as perception, attention, memory, knowledge systems, language, problem-solving, reasoning, and decision-making. Introduction to the broader field of cognitive neuroscience will be presented throughout the course. (Replaces PSY 4305 Memory and Cognition.)
