PSY 4316 - Psychology of the ElderlyCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): PSY 1303 and 6 additional hours in psychology and junior standing, or permission of instructor. This course focuses on understanding the aging process from a psychological perspective by studying topics such as research methods, major theories of aging, and stereotypes about aging. This course focuses on adults aged 65 and older, and the changes in and concerns of physical health, cognition and social relationships that occur in later life and psychology consequences of physical decline and illness.
