SOS 3312 - Applied Statistics in the Social Sciences

Prerequisite(s): 3 Semester Credit Hours in Anthropology, Criminal Justice, History, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology and completion of MATH 1301 , MATH 1310 , or STAT 1312 .
An introductory course presenting the computation and use of descriptive and inferential statistics in the social sciences. Students are taught how to calculate statistical measures by hand, to apply them to social science examples and to use statistical software packages employed by researchers in the social sciences.
