SOC 4316 - GlobalizationCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): SOC 1303 . This course examines ways in which globalization constitutes complex economic, social, cultural, and political trends in the United States and elsewhere. In addition, it provides an overview of the major social scientific theoretical perspectives applicable to understanding the process of globalization and its connection to economic underdevelopment, as well as the development of the world capitalist system and its future in a rapidly changing global context.
