STAT 2300 - Introduction to StatisticsCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or better in MATH 1301 or placement by exam taken at UH-Downtown. Techniques for the collection, analysis and interpretation of numerical data. Probability, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, estimation and special distributions. Special emphasis is placed on a variety of applications. Computer packages are used. This course may not be applied toward a major in the Mathematics & Statistics department. (MATH 1342)
