This course provides an overview of the phenomenon of human trafficking as defined by relevant international and national statements, protocol, and legislation, with an emphasis on understanding the experiences and needs of trafficking victims and the methods of operations of traffickers and their networks. The course examines various forms of human trafficking victimization including sex trafficking, forced labor, bonded labor and domestic servitude in American and international contexts.
