PHIL 3371 - MetaphysicsCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): 3 hours of Philosophy, or Junior standing, or instructor consent. Metaphysics is the branch of Philosophy that asks questions about the nature of reality at the most general level. This class will look at a number of topics in this field, through both classical and contemporary sources. Possible topics include: whether there is more to something than the sum of its parts, what makes something a person, the nature of time, the nature of numbers and other universal terms, and the possibility of free will.
