Mathematics Minor

For Minors in Mathematics and Statistics:

• All hours counted toward the minor must be passed with “C” or better.
• At least 6 hours of upper-level course work in the minor must be completed at the University of Houston-Downtown.

Required Courses

• MATH 2401 - Calculus I
• MATH 2402 - Calculus II

• or

• MATH 2411 - Calculus I for the Natural Sciences
• MATH 2412 - Calculus II for the Natural Sciences

• or

• MATH 2421 - Differential and Integral Calculus with Applications
• MATH 2422 - Linear Algebra & Multivariable Calculus with Applications

• At least 10 hours of mathematics courses (2000-level and above), excluding MATH 2401, 2402, 2411, 2412, 2421, 2422.
• At least 6 hours of which must be upper level mathematics courses (3000-level and above). Excluding MATH 3321 and MATH 3322.

Total: (18 hours minimum)
