PSY 4321 - Psychology of MemoryCredits: 3 Class: 3 Lab: 0 Prerequisite(s): PSY 1303 and six additional hours in psychology and junior standing, or permission of instructor. PSY 3311 and/or PSY 3319 recommended. This course provides an overview of memory theories, research, and applications. This course will examine the structure and organization of memory, including: behavioral and functional memory research, short-term and long-term memory, working memory, encoding and retrieval processes, implicit memory and explicit memory systems, autobiographical memory, eyewitness testimony, developmental changes in memory, neuropsychological correlates of memory, and memory disorders.
